Since I first discovered the power of eBay I have been quietly:

So, how did I go from knowing nothing about eBay or making money online to earning over £2,500 per week?

I can clearly remember the night when the idea of starting an eBay business happened ... and my life began to change.

Prior to this, I had taken so many wrong turns, fallen victim to so many scams and spent a fortune that I couldn't even afford, looking for the answers by buying information that turned out to be complete rubbish.

To be honest, I had reached the stage where I didn't trust anyone who was offering money making ideas anymore. I just felt like giving up and sticking with the 9 to 5 job that I hated so much.

It was late on New Years Day and my husband and I had been engrossed in another of our many late night discussions, throwing business ideas around and looking on the internet for that illusive piece of information that would 'change our lives', when out of the blue, he mentioned eBay.
 
Well, I, like almost everybody else in the world, had heard of eBay, but thought of it only as an auction site for getting rid of old junk.

I personally had never bought or sold on eBay when my husband mentioned it. Yes, I had browsed occasionally on a whim, but to be honest, it seemed such a big thing that I was always too scared to bid.

Yet plenty of my friends were always remarking about their purchases: “Oh yes, I bought it on eBay – it was a bargain”, or “Why not look on eBay – I bet you'll find it there.”

And so it occurred to my husband (yes, he has to take the credit for this one!) that eBay might just be the starting block I needed – a launching pad for my own little enterprise … and that’s how it all got started.

We had a lot of work ahead of us and I had many, many questions that neither of us knew the answers to ... after all :

What was I going to sell?
Where would I get it?
How would I get people to buy from me?

But, having looked at the eBay UK site I really started to get exited about it all ... I was determined that this would be the way that I would make money working for myself!

So, all fired up, I set about researching products to sell, with absolutely no clear idea about what I was looking for. I had assumed that anything would sell on eBay, and I was perfectly right. Ha!!

However, there is a BIG difference between just selling something on eBay and selling something on eBay for PROFIT!

Backwards and forwards I went looking at different eBay categories trying to find out what all the PowerSellers were selling, but it was so time-consuming and frustrating trying to look through all the listings that in the end I gave up and tried a different tack.

I started 'Googling' for wholesale suppliers thinking that I could just order a few of a product that I thought looked good and list them on eBay.

But this wasn't easy either! There were so many sources and suppliers that I didn't know where to start - remember I didn't even know what category to sell in at this time, and so I became somewhat overwhelmed!

After a few nights of this, I was understandably feeling a bit fed-up. A bit disappointed. A bit frustrated.

So I gave up ... Just like that!

Threw in the towel ... and I probably sulked as well just for good measure!

But I just couldn't get eBay out of my head ...

So about a week later I tried again, this time doing some research about how exactly it was possible to find the RIGHT products to sell on eBay for profit.

I scrambled through the usual rubbish, not really knowing truth from fiction when by pure fluke, I stumbled across a small piece of information that advised me of a method of using the many different 'Search Facilities' on eBay to discover who was selling what and what the top selling products were.

So I tried this, randomly selecting a sub-category within the Health and Beauty Section and taking a look at the results.

Now, I haven't got the time or space here, right now, to tell you exactly what I did, but...

... This is when it really clicked for me!

I was suddenly able to find a hot selling product. And from there, I was able to find a supplier of a similar product because I had whittled down my search and was now concentrating on something SPECIFIC that I knew had a good previous selling history on eBay.

Without thinking further - and probably so that I wouldn't change my mind - I ordered a small quantity of this product (if I remember rightly I spent less than £150 on my first order of 50 items) and tentatively awaited their arrival.

When my order arrived, I listed the product on eBay (very badly) and I waited …

Nothing happened on Day 1

Nothing happened on Day 2

Nothing happened on Days 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 despite the fact that I was glued to my computer screen, willing a sale to happen...

So, on Day 8, feeling frustrated, I altered my listing description

Nothing happened on Day 9 ...

So I tweaked my listing a little more ...

Then, on Day 10 (incidentally this was the day the listing was due to end) I sold 5 products!

I was so excited that I re-listed the remaining products immediately and ordered some more stock!

I couldn't believe it when this product continued to sell, day after day, in larger and larger quantities and it was soon bringing in profits of £100 a day.

That's right, my VERY FIRST PRODUCT produced  £100 a day ... jeepers ... that was £700 per week!

This product still sells in HUGE quantities on a daily basis, even now, over 4 years later!

And that's how it started ... as simple as that!

And from those frustrating weeks and endless researching ... I now have a business that brings in over £2,500 per week!
